"Grand Champion" weaves a lively tale of a spunky young boy, Buddy, and his prize-winning calf, Hokey, as they climb the ranks of Texas stock shows to win the coveted top award. When Buddy learns of plans to make Hokey the "guest-of-honor" at a barbecue, he and his friends decide to take matters into their own hands. Now, on the run from the authorities and news media, Buddy, Sister and Edgar must out-smart and out-run the adults if Hokey is to survive. Their adventures are both thrilling and hilarious, ultimately delivering a delightful, surprise ending.
